September and Football

Its October and I'm 7 months old! Lots of fun things happened last month...obviously so much that Mommy forgot to document it. I turned 6 months old on the 2nd of September and Mommy and Daddy both turned 25 later in the month! I went to my 6 month appointment at the doctor where I got 2 shots in each leg! I was 17 pounds and 24.5 inches long. I'm kinda short, but Daddy thinks that makes me extra cute. It clearly hasn't affected the amount of noise I can make! The day after I started saying baba I transitioned to mama.

My hair is growing so fast! Mommy thought it would be funny to see how my pigtails looked now.

With the start of football season I've been showing my team spirit!

Showing off my SAINTS pride for my LA fam and friends!

Yes, my shirt says Poo Dat.

Showing off with Daddy before the opening game against Green Bay.

Mommy and Daddy actually have to watch the games by themselves most of the time because they come on so late in Florida.

Showing my AL team spirit! My first word could possibly be BaMa because I'm a big fan of babas and mamas. We will just have to see!

Turn up the volume to hear the question I get asked.

(PS I would have worn my USM shirt too but its still too big! It will probably be ready for next season.)

My crazy hair in the morning time!

Playing BOO! with Daddy. I don't know who had more fun!?!

Little baby fro

Relaxing in my chair while it rains!

Mommy and Daddy say I'm going to start crawling soon. Time for baby proofing! I can back up now and turn in circles...just no forward motion.

Standing and holding on. I didn't get like this by myself yet, but I like to hold on and wait for Mommy to pick me up.

Food update! I hate peaches!

Good morning! Just playing with my cat and waiting for someone to get me.

I like to sit silly ways in my chair.

Hello. Bye bye.

More new things!

I've been so busy this summer learning and exploring new things. I can do so much now. Sometimes Mommy says I learn things over night! Here are some of my new favorite things

I've become a pro at sitting up by myself.

I can drink water out of a sippie cup now. Mommy says it helps when we go places with friends, because I have something big that I can do like everyone else.

So far I only drink water, but it sure is fun to do!

I'm not really a fan of peas yet...here is my first attempt.

Love sitting on my back porch in my deck chair

I can walk in the shallow end of the pool. Now that I have realized it, I walk away from Mommy and Daddy all the time!

Laying back in the stroller is for babies. I'm a big girl so I have to sit up the whole time.

....even when I am too tired to stay awake...

Rolled from my back to my tummy on August 12!

This is my lion. I really like to ride him around the house...even though I have to have some help.

Daddy likes to push me around the house. I like when I pass by the kitties.

Daddy's new favorite way to carry me. I think its funny.

This is Mommy and Daddy's favorite new thing that I can do! I'm a sheep now. I really like to say ba when I'm laying down.

Beach Trip!

When we got home from Alabama, Mommy and Daddy thought we could all use a vacation from traveling so much! So when our friends from Gainesville called saying they were heading to the beaches in St. Augustine, Daddy said LETS GO! So August 13 was my first official day as a Florida girl. It was such a nice day and our friends brought a big canopy for us all to sit under. I had my beach chair with me, so I got to sit with the grownups. I really liked the sand in my toes!

Staring at the ocean

Me and mommy after a dip in the ocean!

 I love the beach!

Touching the sand with my toes for the first time.

The water moved a lot more than it does at the pool.

Just enjoying lounging in my chair.

Alabama!

This summer I went to Alabama for the first time. It was my first time out of state and on a long car ride. I did great! It took all day to get to my grandparents house, but I had lots of fun in the car.

Of course we had to stop by the sign. Its not quite as beautiful as it says, but its the thought that counts.

Riding in the car made me very sleepy.

I met so many new people on my trip. Everyone was excited to see me for the first time! Mommy tried to get some good pictures with everyone but may have forgotten a few people. We had so much fun going all over Birmingham to see friends and family. I was really excited to hang around with some other kids while we were there too!  We didn't get to see everyone so we will have to go back as soon as we can!

Meeting mommy's friend Meagan for the first time!

Her niece and my new friend Ava.

Sitting with Brooklyn. She got up fast and I toppled over. Luckily I didn't mind. I was too excited to be with a big kid! Mommy stole this picture from Brooklyn's mommy (thanks!)

Laughing with Janis. She brought me a leapfrog puppy named Scout and I really like that he sings my name in songs!

Sitting on the porch with my Great Uncle Randy. He taught me how to play piano while we visited him in Decatur. Sorry the video is a little dark.

Ellie, Brooklyn, and me out for dinner. I wore my fancy dress just for fun. We were so glad that baby Ellie woke up for just a little bit. She was still very sleepy.

I also got to wear my dress to mommy's friend Amy's wedding shower! Me and the beautiful bride to be!

I can't wait to go back to Alabama and visit all of my new friends again. I miss you already!

First Foods

Before daddy went to Portland I got to try rice cereal for the first time! Mommy was going to wait until I was 6 months old, but I was breathing funny and my doctor said it was from milk coming back up every now and then. She said we could start some solid foods and now I'm all better!

I really wanted to help by holding the spoon :D

While Daddy was in Portland for a week I got to hang out with Mommy, Poppa, and Grandma. We went to the pool almost every day! I even got a float to ride in. The first one popped after a couple of days so we got a ladybug one that I like better!

I like wearing Poppa's hat

From my expression you can see I definitely like this float more. Its supposed to be a ladybug but we think the eyes make it look more like a crab!

Catching up with summer fun.

I went to my four month doctor's appointment on the 8th. I weigh 15 pounds and am 24.5 inches tall! And just like mommy thought, I'm already teething :[ Some days are worse than others, but I mostly just drool and chew on everything. My doctor said that I can get my bottom teeth any day now. I've been having lots of fun this summer and doing and trying so many new things...

My hair is still a little wet in this picture.

I've gotten very good at sitting up on my own. I just can't get enough of that cute baby in the mirror.

My new way of traveling at the grocery store. This way is much more fun. I get to look around and my baby even gets to ride beside me.

This is my new deck chair so I can sit on the porch like mommy and daddy. It even has a place for a sippie cup when I get a little bigger!

When grandma and poppa were here they thought it would be funny to weigh me in the scale at the grocery store. I was a little confused...

More little indians....

I've been doing a whole lot of tummy time lately so that I can work on rolling over. My friend Ellie likes to help me. She is very good at rolling.

Mommy's friend Rachel made this quilt for me. It was her first time to ever make one. Didn't she do such a good job?

My mawmaw had this heart quilt made for me.

Ellie likes to watch me play. She can't wait for me to start pulling her tail!

Making my teethies feel better with some cold chewys and ice.

I've been laughing more and more lately. Every now and then mommy catches a good one while I play with daddy.

I also want to give a special thanks to my cousin Harper. Every bow I've been wearing lately is from her. I'm so lucky that she's bigger than me and outgrew them. I have one that matches almost every outfit I own! Thanks Harper!!!
