Thanksgiving 2012

This year at Thanksgiving we got to go visit Uncle Matt in Birmingham. Mommy had to work on papers the whole time but it was still worth the trip, because I had a lot of fun.

We stopped at a rest stop and Mommy and Daddy thought it would be cute to take a picture by this sign.

I decided it would be much more fun to take a picture by this giant peanut.

I loved all the leaves at Uncle Matt's house. We don't get this many at home in Florida. Silly smile.

Uncle Matt said I had to earn my keep to stay for Thanksgiving. I think I did a pretty good job.

Plus the real fun of yard work was Poppa letting me ride in the wheelbarrow!

This year I helped Poppa and Daddy fix the turkey! I rubbed butter on it and put onion and celery in the hole! It was gooey but I loved it and we washed my hands really good after.

There was an Alabama game while we were visiting, so I got to go play with my friend Ellie while Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Matt and all their friends watched.

We had a lot of fun playing together. We wish Brooklyn hadn't been sick though! Next time she will have to play too!

Just for fun Mommy decided to post this video of me at the park. I love going down the slide and swinging from the bar like a monkey.

September and October

In September I counted to 6 for the first time. Mommy says I was being silly but you can still tell what I'm saying. I laugh every time I hear this video say OOooone. I also say "JUMP!" after I say One, Two, Three. Doesn't everyone?

Showing off my new fork skills to Daddy while he was in Portland. Notice I like to use my left hand?

Daddy also went to Seattle this month so Mommy and I had lots of alone time. He was there on his and Mommy's birthdays so we did our first Mommy+Daughter pedicure.

This year I could finally fit in the AL cheerleading outfit my cousin Harper bought me. Don't I look super cute?

October was a lot of fun. I really got into the Halloween spirit this year. Gaga bought me this silly hat and Mommy thought this picture turned out really spooky!

Picking out our pumpkin at the pumpkin patch.

I helped Mommy pull out all of the guts in the pumpkin! She carved Cookie Monster into our pumpkin for me! I thought she did a pretty good job. Daddy didn't like touching the pumpkin guts. I thought that was silly.

On Halloween we went to the library and got to decorate little pumpkins, fish for Halloween ducks, and do other little activities. We even got some candy!

If you can't tell...I dressed up as Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. I picked out my own costume. I really liked the pompoms in my hair!

July and August

So Mommy decided since she was so behind that the best thing to do would be to do an overview of each month! Things got really busy when Mommy's fall semester started up and we have yet to convince Daddy that he could update the blog. Thanks everyone for being patient while Mommy is in school!

Fun in St Augustine

Our Zoo had a birthday party for the mascot Jazoo!

I got a party hat and cookie

Thanks to the Olympics I also became a huge fan of horses.

So much so that Poppa and Gaga bought me one to ride at their house

Summer Time

On our ride home from Uncle Matt's house, I FINALLY got my first tooth. 14 months and 1 day old. Mommy and Daddy thought I would never get a tooth! I'm all over the place now. Mommy and Daddy say I changed over night. Always running and getting into things. I also talk all the time repeating EVERYTHING I hear. Just some fun pictures and videos from the beginning of summer.

Bubbles with Daddy and Ellie. I dont know who had more fun!?!

Brushing my teeth for the first time

I love watermelon!

Yum, that's good!

I'm all over the park now. Mommy and Daddy can't slow me down.

First time getting my toenails painted like Mommy! They were surprised that I sat so still, but I was so excited to be a big girl!

One of our many trips to the zoo. I LOVE the pygmy goats!

A bell pepper from Poppa's garden.

First Haircut

At the beginning of May, I went to Trussville to visit Uncle Matt. While I was there I got my first haircut from Mrs. Peggy the day before I turned 14 months old. She started cutting my Poppa's hair when she was 15 and a cosmetology student at his high school. She gave Uncle Matt and Mommy their first haircuts. Plus she went all the way to New Orleans to celebrate and do Mommy and Daddy's hair for their wedding. Who better than a close family friend to make me look super cute!

Putting on my cape

Pre haircut. Isn't my cape cute!

The first cut. I didn't get scared

But just in case, my buddy Rory was there

Thank you Mrs Peggy!

First ZOO trip

Mommy finished her semester of school on Thursday April the 26, so that Friday to celebrate, she and Daddy took me to the Jacksonville Zoo for the first time. I had so much fun seeing all of the animals. I loved pointing at each one!

I got to take a picture with an alligator! How silly!

Look! A kitty!

Walking around the zoo like a big girl with Daddy

Wow that must be interesting!

Lets go that way!

What's around this corner Mommy?

I loved sitting on Daddy's shoulder to look at things

I really liked water exhibits. I think we should go to an aquarium next!
